The Kingdom of Atenveldt hosts Estrella War and serves as a Principal Kingdom. Around May of the year preceding each Estrella War, the Crown of Atenveldt asks other SCA Kingdoms to join them as Principal Kingdoms in the next year's medieval conflict. Kingdoms receiving this request may choose to accept or decline to participate, based on their Kingdom's review of the "Estrella War Principal Kingdom Benefits and Responsibilities".
Once an SCA Kingdom has agreed to be a Principal Kingdom, their Crowns and Royal Heirs participate in negotiating the Estrella War Treaty, and join the Crown of Atenveldt in serving as hosts for that year’s event.

The Crown of Atenveldt who will Reign at Estrella War XXVII will be determined at the September, 2010 Crown Tournament.
The Crown of the Outlands who will reign at Estrella War XXVII will be chosen at the fall 2011 Kingdom of the Outlands Crown Tournament. To get more information about the Royalty of the Outlands, please see the Outlands Kingdom Website.
